![]() ![]() Optometry students at Nova also have the opportunity to explore different optometric specialties within the clinical setting. Another great opportunity that students take advantage of is dual enrollment. We also have an elaborate fitness center that includes workout classes to keep us working on our fitness. At Nova, every student has an iPad so that we can take notes, record lectures, and take exams on them. Students are able to enjoy South Florida's renowned weather, beaches, and other attractions and participate in the college's numerous student organizations while receiving strong didactic and clinical training that will thoroughly prepare them for their professional careers. Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry is the only optometric academic institution in the state of Florida. Senior: Great school, a lot of diversity, excellent professors. Overall, this school is a good choice to keep in mind!. There are so many trees and open space so it is possible to study or do homework at the tables that are spread out in the quad. The style of the campus gives me an old town vibe and I completely fell in love with it. What I also really love about the school is the campus. Most importantly, the professors provide students with the information of almost every resource that is available to us such as tutoring, mental health services, and financial aid resources. In every class I have taken, the professors make it a point to emphasize the importance of valuing everyone in the class. To begin, the professors show that they care for their students by being flexible to meet with students one on one and they are very big on advocating for diversity within their classrooms. Junior: I have been at Foothill for almost three years now and throughout these past years I feel like I am very satisfied with my education here. Most of the time they aren't being used, and I usually never study with friends and I would prefer windows while studying. ![]() I also think the Group Study rooms should be available to single students as well. I would like to see more student events and student life present on campus, I think that would create a much more inclusive and fun environment. I also noticed around March the Kaladis opened back up! I also am so happy that campus is so close to midtown and the Fire Island in Airport Heights, it makes it so easy to grab food before next class or before you get ready to spend hours studying in the library, like I did. I spent a lot of time at the library, I loved how easy the study rooms were to book and how clean they always were. Every single professor I had totally exceeded my expectations and made me feel very accommodated. However, I could not have asked for a better first year experience. Sophomore: My first year at UAA was mostly spent online with only two in person classes. ![]()
